Ciudad de Canyon Lake – Barrido de la calle
An extensive street sweeping program helps the City meet the permit requirements of the National Pollutant Discharge Discharge System (NPDES) by removing contaminants, debris and sediments on City streets that might otherwise enter the storm drainage system. The water that enters the storm drainage system goes directly to our streams, rivers, lakes and beaches. You can help keep our waters clean by not leaving trash, garden waste or leaves on the street and / or gutters. Leaves and other garden waste should be placed inside your green garbage cart for collection and recycling. If necessary, notify your garden service company of this requirement.
Please do not allow any contaminants to enter the storm drain system. You should keep in mind that allowing the runoff of private properties that contain soaps, degreasers, motor oil and other automotive fluids, lawn and garden chemicals, paint, pet waste or other household waste to enter the storm drain system is a violation of Riverside Municipal Code. Consider the use of biodegradable and environmentally friendly products for cleaning and landscape maintenance. You can help protect our natural resources by protecting our environment and keeping our gutters and streets clean!
Observe the following guidelines for street sweeping service:
